In May 2023, a product-development review meeting for the domestically produced remote-reset device—chaired by CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltd. and attended by metro operators and rolling-stock manufacturers nationwide—was held in Nanjing.
The remote circuit-breaker reset unit is a vital safety component: on fully driverless trains a short-circuit trip can leave the breaker open, but the new device uses the train-control network to re-close the breaker automatically, preventing service interruptions caused by electrical faults.
Leaders and experts agreed that the home-grown remote-reset solution raises automation levels, strengthens real-time monitoring and control, and plays a key role in safeguarding train operations.
